About Certification NF S72-800-2021
Certification: NF S72-800-2021 certification is still valid for equestrian airbags. This standard is the new norm for riding airbags in France, and it's used to ensure maximum protection for riders.
Explanation
- The NF S72-800-2021 standard is used to regulate the manufacture of equestrian airbags as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- The standard includes strict criteria for inflation speed, protection surface, and impact tests
- The standard provides increased protection for horse riders by increasing the area protected, inflation speed, and impact tests
- The standard ensures that airbags are approved for certification in France
Some brands that have obtained the NF S72-800-2021 certification include: Freejump, Horse Pilote, and Seaver.
A committee of European experts is currently working on updating the European standard EN 13158, based on the NF S72-800:2022 protocol.
